When did the Essex Yeoman become The Junction?
And has it dropped the Essex bit because it's now considered to be in east London?

I used to work behind the bar in the Plough when I was about 18.

The Tap Room is not what you would call a pub more like someones front room.

As they only have a cafe with alchohol license it seems that you can only buy beer IF you also buy food. Well legally that is.

I'm going to give it a try next week and find out the bottom of it.

The Plough is in Cranham and is probably the last proper pub in the area.

Bit rough round the edges at times but generally a good laugh.

My mates Sister used to be the landlady about 10 years ago and have been going in there ever since.

the masons went about 8 years ago, the old owners run the plough now, even tho he is a yid, glenn is alright, and he knows he'll get money from west ham so shows all our games

Schoffie alluded to pubs closing earlier in this thread.

When I first moved to Upminster the Bell had gone. Driving from the A127 down to the Crematorium the first pub you came to was the Huntsman. Now you go past the Junction and the Crumpled Horn before you get to the Huntsman.

I'm told the only pub that's gone is the Masons so actually compared with when I first lived there it has more pubs especially if you include the shortly to be opening Tap Room.

I'm told the Masons has been replaced by houses.

It's got a village feel and feels relaxed. I love the fact I'm opposite a golf course and two decent pubs (jobbers rest for one).

The breakfast in roomes is decent on a Sunday.

To be honest it's superb for the C2C into London. Plus only ten mins from Upton Park.

There were a number of scraps with them over Upminster park in my school years. Territory encroaching wankers

Campion are homosexual Hornchurch cunts, nothing to do with Upminster.

Re: When did the Essex Yeoman become The Junction?
Moved away two and a half years ago, but go back semi-regulalrly as family still live there - don't miss the place at all.

However, Gaynes will smash Coopers and Hall Mead and still have enough to take on those Campion cunts

In all seriousness, to those who love upminster what is it you like about it? To me it's like purgatory. Nice big houses and that's it. Proximity to the countryside I suppose. That's all I can think of. I really don't like Brentwood bit that shits all over upminster apart from the rail links

Hall Mead was a terrible school when I left in 85 but is now OUTSTANDING and shits over Coopers in every way.

Garth, once everyone's had a fight, the winners get to go home with a Sacred Heart girl.

And we all know what THEY'RE like...

Won't be any pubs in Upminster soon, seen how many black kids and mussies go to posh coopers now?? Another nice town fucked.. Good train and other transport links and I'm afraid your town will be over run with Nigerian wanna be nhs, council office workers and Pakistani junior doctors.. Oh, and the rest.. Need I say more?'

Did you attend Oxford or Cambridge?

Don't know comma.

Popped in the Junction last Saturday. Felt sorry for the regulars who suddenly now look out of place.
